Stacy Rapacon is a freelance writer and editor, who has specialized in personal finance topics— including investing, saving for retirement, credit, family finances and financial education—since 2007. Her work has appeared on Kiplinger.com, U.S. News and World Report, CNBC, Business Insider, Yahoo and other online publications, as well as in The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune and other print media.
Before becoming a full-time freelancer, Stacy worked for Kiplinger Washington Editors for eight years — first as a reporter for Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine and then as an online editor for Kiplinger.com. She also served as editor of the site's "Starting Out" column, dedicated to money matters concerning young adults and others at the beginning of their financial journeys. She was also managing editor of its "Wealth Creation" channel, offering advice written by financial professionals.
Originally and currently from New Jersey, Stacy also lived for many years in the Washington, D.C., metro area, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in English at The George Washington University and stumbled into adulthood. She is now happily married and the mother of three…and still stumbling into adulthood.
